Future Renewable Energy and Easy MCS Ltd in new partnership

Two installers with a number of years’ experience in the heating and plumbing industry have partnered with the Award Winning MCS Support and Renewable Training Course Provider Easy MCS Ltd.
Andy Buchan and Watson Carlill, who have 80 years’ experience in the heating and plumbing industry between them, formed Future Renewable Energy (FRE) in 2011 with the aim of sharing their experience with those installers considering making use of renewable heating and hot water technologies.

The UK's leading MCS Specialists Easy MCS Ltd have confirmed they are working alongside The Oil & Renewable Energy Show 2012 to give a number of presentations on MCS Accreditation. The MCS Seminars will be held by one of the Easy MCS Mentors and will give installers an overview of the Microgeneration Certification Scheme, the benefits of achieving MCS Accreditation and the process for achieving MCS.
MCS Consultation to up skill MCS Installers

On Friday 5th of March, MCS confirmed the progress that has been made by one of the MCS working groups reviewing the competence criteria to be included within the MCS Installer standards. The competence criteria will cover the installation of all MCS technologies including; Solar PV, Solar Thermal, Heat Pumps, Biomass, Wind Turbines, Micro CHP and Micro Hydro. The working group is aiming to make the competency requirements of MCS clearer and there are due to be published in a consultation in early May.

Changes to Feed in Tariffs come into force

On April 1st the changes to the Feed in Tariffs came into place.
The feed in tariff rates for all systems up to 250kW will drop, while a lower multi-installation tariff is introduced and energy performance guidelines are put in place.
RHI Premium Payments Extended

The Department of Energy and Climate Change has announced that it will launch a second phase to the Renewable Heat Premium Payment (RHPP) scheme, however, the rollout of the domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) until 2013.
Feed In Tariff Appeal Loss for Government

The government has once again failed to get permission to appeal to the Supreme Court over its plan to cut the Feed in Tariffs for solar PV panels on homes.
The UK's highest court said it could not challenge a High Court ruling that blocked the halving of payments to households generating energy via Solar PV.
